Hello, this is Melanie Hollenshead. I want to thank everyone that made my recent visit to Deming so wonderful!! Phillip and I enjoyed a chance to meet the people working in the shop, at the January General Meeting and the January Field Trip.

I especially want to thank Barb and Ben for inviting us to the Monday night class; Jim for teaching me to use the shop equipment; Ron for helping me learn how to get things done properly; Harold, Art, Jerry, Russel, George and others for helping me learn to make a decent cabachon; Jerry for cutting my rocks; Bob for the beautiful Pigeon Blood Agate pieces; everyone I met for their friendliness and willingness to share information and help one another! This is the first Rockhound Group I have joined. I can only hope to find one in the Houston area that is nearly as great.

I don't know if we can get back for the Rockhound Round-up. However, if we can, we'll gladly try to fill any open volunteer spots. Keep up the good work!!
